The Lottery

One short little drive to the local store where the tickets are sold and BINGO...the weight of the world is lifted and vast wealth is realized. The lottery...an amazing opportunity to solve all problems for so many.
But, wait! So many? In one state the odds of winning the biggest jackpot is 1 in 15,890,700. On the other hand, the odds of getting struck by lightning are about 1 in 2,000,000. A pregnant woman has a 1 in 705,000 chance of giving birth to quadruplets. Someone eating an oyster has a 1 in 12,000 chance of finding a pearl in it. In short, NOT so many have a chance at winning at the wonderful concept of a lottery.
Here's the point about all this when it comes to living your life to the fullest. If you want to win the "lottery" of life, it's by the numbers every day with vision, commitment, character and the joy of having the chance to deal with life's randomness. In other words, the only thing you can truly bet on and that gives you some chance at winning the game of your life is consistent, disciplined effort driven by the belief there will be a positive outcome.
