Your Path



If you're like most of us, you spend some time, at least once in a while, thinking about the future course of your life.  It's natural.  We all wonder where life's twists and turns will take us...What will be the good, the bad and the ugly?  Especially the ugly!

I ask, Why dwell on it?  Why not control it as best you can?  As the old saying goes, "Wishing consumes as much energy as planning."  Here's the trick, though.  Don't try to define your path in the future so clearly that you miss living today. 

In other words, your life planning should be relatively simple in method and almost on automatic pilot in practice.  The key to achieving simplicity is to think in terms of what you want to achieve personally, professionally and spiritually.  Develop simple action plans to achieve those things you want that include a step-by-step process (that's the automatic pilot part) for getting there.  The driver behind each action plan is a well defined goal statement that clearly states why you want to achieve those things.  As Zig Ziglar says:  "You have to have a great big why."
